Yoga - A Way of Life




Yoga is not merely a set of physical exercises. It is,in fact,a way of life. Yoga unites body, mind and soul. When we are in harmony, the journey of life becomes peaceful, pleasing and more satisfactory. Yoga means union - the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. It develops the ways of nurturing a balanced attitude in day to day life and gifts skill in the performance of one's actions.


Each part of the body receives something from every aasana .
Better posture, endurance, flexibility, coordination, increased lung capacity are some basic physical benefits we find when we start doing yogaasanas. Becoming aware of our body and breath fetches quick calming to the mind . Stress, anxiety and depression levels decrease when respiratory rate increases.

Daily performance of yoga enables a person to have a greater control over mind and emotions.

Yoga results in an overall sense of fulfillment and a greater sense of well- being. It fosters the ability to truly live positive experiences of daily life. 
It can lead to one's discovery of one's sense of purpose and meaning in life. Bhagvad Gita says, " Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self." Again, Yoga is more than a simple workout session. It's a way of life.
