is on threshold of becoming superpower. There is no dearth of young workforce in India. India does have a large young workforce, but only having a large workforce is not enough.
That large workforce should possess required skill also. Unfortunately, not many in this force are employable for lack of necessary skills.
To excel in any field of life, the skill peculiar to the required field is very necessary. If we have a number of degrees but without skill,
we can't even think of getting a good opening in any career. Realising the need of skill development, the government is running skill development programmes for its unskilled employees. In this age, almost all the services in government as well as private sector are carried out, using computers. So in such a scenario, it becomes all the more necessary to have computer skills.
A person having skills in a particular field can never remain unemployed. On the other hand, a person, having many degrees but no skill, has no run from pillar to post in order to find a suitable job.
Skill development is really the need of the hour. Without it, to think of progress is like living in a fool's paradise.
